Saturn is a musical work created by Daniel Ruiz (DruiZ) and Ridley Bishop and features video by Annie Chiavaroli. It is the first in a series of collaborative audio+visual pieces inspired by the planets of our solar system; a project developed by Ruiz with musical and visual collaborators.
Saturn was created in a single improvised take, recorded by Christopher Ellis at Invisible Recordings studio. The work was mixed by Dan Taves and mastered by Brock McFarlane at CPS Mastering. There were no overdubs and the piece came into being after the shared inspiration to imagine and create a sonic journey to Saturn.
DruiZ is a project from multi instrumentalist Daniel Ruiz, it is a sonic journey involving an array of electronic and acoustic instruments.
